The Stunning Foxton Locks
Amazing day with the Canal & River Trust Team
At the end of the school holidays I was straight back off holiday to deliver an In the Wild Family session with the Canal & River Trust team at the amazing Foxton Locks (if you haven’t been its stunning), and launch the new Family Wellbeing Route.
These sessions are a joy to run and we had two setup to run with Adrian and his local volunteer team.
As always we brought the sunshine (😉) and it was a fab morning. With some schools back in the local area we had lots of younger families join us too.
My standout glimmer during the session was when doing dragonfly breathing, just at that moment a large dragonfly decided to fly around us which created a lot of laughter and happiness.
The Canal’s Story really had magical impact during this session, I wrote it using the magical power of words and science, which helps people relax, visualise and really be in the present moment (NOW).
A grandmother was listening to the story, eyes closed in the sunshine, she was so relaxed and it was powerful to watch the impact. An adult carer who was in the session said the session reminded her of the positive power of story telling.
It is so lovely for Miranda and I to see our vision happening, to be able to spread our wellbeing messages far and wide, getting more kids living happier lives while getting in touch with nature is what we have always dreamed of.

Check out this amazing feedback from Adrian who ran the session with us:
Alongside running two events we also launched the new Family Wellbeing Trail.
You can download a copy of this wellbeing trail and at other locations here.

I absolutely loved being at Foxton what an incredible location. We met so many lovely people. It was so much fun working alongside Adrian and Paul to deliver the sessions 😊
